Mrs. Perry-Eising, an alumna of Deer Park High School, has been a business education teacher for 30 years. She has been a past recipient of the BOCES Technology Integration Award and has been recognized by the Association of Suffolk County Supervisors for Educational Technologies for her integration of technology into the classroom. She has been integral in writing grants through the years and was recently awarded a grant to work in partnership with Amazon in their Future Engineers Program. Through this partnership, Amazon pays for online curriculum for Deer Park to be able to offer computer programming in the Intro. to Computer Science course. Through this grant, Amazon will also be paying for Deer Park's curriculum next school year when the High School offers AP Computer Science Principles for the first time.
